Department Mission Statement
The Commodity & Marketing Department conducts a commodity and marketing program to address a wide range of economic issues and opportunities to improve net farm income and assists in the development and execution of policy. The department also fosters collaborative relationships with commodity organizations and allied partners.

Each staff member is responsible for production, management and marketing issues in their assigned commodity areas and providing communication and information both internal and external to the organization.

Ernie Birchmeier, Livestock & Dairy Specialist

Ken Nye, Horticulture & Forestry Specialist and MACMA Processed Asparagus Division Manager
MFB Commodity Advisory Committees: Direct Marketing; Forestry; Fruit & Vegetable; Nursery & Greenhouse.
Andrena Reid, Administrative Coordinator
Provide administrative support for department and backup for PP&C division. Responsibilities include the coordination of internal and external meetings; AFBF and MFB Commodity Advisory Committee members' administration and website updates.
