Since its establishment, Monroe County Farm Bureau has been dedicated to defending the rights and economic interests of its members.

Your county Farm Bureau believes that its member families are the most important people in the organization. If you have any questions regarding any service or program available to Farm Bureau members, please feel free to contact the county FB administrator or any member of the board of directors.


The Monroe County Farm Bureau, Promotion and Education Committee along with The Historical Society of Michigan, Monroe County Fair, and Genealogical Society of Monroe County will hold a Centennial Farm Registration Workshop on Saturday, May 6th 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

The workshop will be held at the Monroe County Fair Board Room, MBT Expo Center 3775 South Custer Rd, Monroe, MI.

A wide variety of help will be available which is intended to help register farms into the Centennial (100 years), Sesquicentennial (150 years) and Bicentennial (200 years) programs of the Historical Society of Michigan.

A registration professional from the Historical Society of Michigan, Lansing office, will be available to provide assistance. Members of the Genealogical Society of Monroe County will help with ownership research.

For currently registered farms help will be available from the Historical Society of Michigan to resister farms to higher categories, replace historical markers, update records and more. Learn about State History awards, Historical Society publications, the Michigan Centennial Farm Association and other services which are available in supporting registered farms.

The workshop is designed to help speed the registration process for Monroe County farms and help answer questions on historic farms. Registration forms in all categories will be available along with historic displays and large maps showing family farm ownership back to surveyed claims in 1810.

This workshop is free and open to all family farms who have continuously owned at least a 10 acre farm for 100 years and longer.
