If Tragedy Strikes - Are You Ready

**ESTATE PLANNING & MORE**

What should you know TODAY, before tragedy strikes?

Would you be ready if your “significant other” died today? Bring your questions about these & other issues:

Who (and when) should I have a will / trust? How do I keep the family farm or how do I give it to the kids?  What about minor children?  What about adult children & grandchildren from another marriage?  How about the extended family?  What if you’re “together but not married”? Do you know your spouse’s passwords? Who should have “Power of Attorney”? When? What are the tax implications of surviving spouse selling?

Speaker: Sally Babbitt, Estate & Planning Attorney

** Open to Regular (Farmer) Oakland County Members Only

THIS IS NOT A SALES MEETING!!

Rural Education Day - “Project R.E.D“—-April 20th and April 21st 2015

Every year, the Promotion & Education committee from Oakland County Farm Bureau sponsors this fun day filled with many hands-on experiences. The need to educate our children about local agriculture and natural resources is the focus of the day’s activities.

Children rotate through learning stations where hands-on activities capture their interest. Master Gardeners and other organizations throughout Oakland County and Michigan support the program, including volunteer farmers who help make everything run smoothly.

The program was first introduced in the Tri-County area 14 years ago and has proved to be very successful. It is a fun experience that allows the children to develop an appreciation for farming and an interest in how our food is grown and harvested.
